Tradeshow Success

May 16, 2011 | Logistics Industry

Using Twitter in the GTA

The time has arrived. The spring season is here and summer is rapidly approaching in Toronto. As a result, many more tradeshow opportunities present themselves around the GTA. This is an exciting time to develop new business opportunities, network, and to understand more about the type of businesses that are advancing their companies in Canada. An awesome way to connect with more people and potential opportunities at tradeshows is to leverage social media to your advantage. Using Twitter to let potential prospects know that you are at a tradeshow is quick, powerful, and effective and not to mention fun!

There are a plethora of tradeshows to attend in the GTA. Researching location and the cost of the show will be factors used to determine if the tradeshow is worthwhile. Tradeshows often take place in large, technically advanced, parking friendly locations in an effort to showcase new products and services and to entice salespersons, distributors, suppliers, and vendors alike to attend! Depending on your interests, not all tradeshows will be beneficial therefore it is important to research in advance what the focus of the show is and use your time wisely. Here is a list of some of the popular logistics related tradeshows that take place in the GTA annually:

-Traders Forum Show

-Supply Chain Canada

-MIAC (Music Industry Association Show)

-LLHA Show (Luggage, Leather Goods, Handbags & Accessories Show)

-CGTA Gift Show

-Home Show

To boost your success levels at tradeshows consider Tweeting! Twitter is a fast, free, and easy way to let prospects know exactly what tradeshow (s) you will be attending, when you have arrived, who you have met with so far, and what is happening at the show. Tweeting will help generate more leads, excitement, and serve as a medium to broadcast live updates while at the show. Try it out today and become more successful at the next upcoming tradeshow!
